AFFETTO DI CASA JOURNAL
How a failed cookie became our scoop cookie
The experiment that stayed too soft for an ordinary cookie—and became Affetto Di Casa’s signature dessert.

The cookie that did not behave
During a cookie experiment, the centre stayed softer than we intended for an ordinary cookie. We kept paying attention to that texture instead of dismissing the trial.
Following the texture
We worked toward a lightly set top and a soft centre that could be opened with a spoon. The result is baked in its own mould and best enjoyed warm.
What we make now
Our eggless scoop cookies are baked fresh after every order, including those from delivery apps and our website. Each weighs about 90–100 gm, with 90 gm shown as the standard menu portion. Different flavours use the same spoonable idea.
What the messages mean to us
The notes and calls from people who say a bite lifted their day make this work personal. We also listen when someone wishes a portion were bigger. Their experience helps us decide what to keep refining.
